How are we feeling about Pantone's color(s) of the year? Yes, there are two! We ALL saw 2015's marsala's hue of cranberry frequent social media OOTDs and red carpets but didn't love the color enough to mix it into our everyday home decor like we did our closets.
Some might be on the fence this year since the colors can sway too juvenile like something you would see in a nursery.
But, I immediately think of a pretty beach sunset.
I think it's interesting and wonderful how people see and feel colors differently. These rooms are pretty rad and far from juvenile.
I would love to see a door painted in rose quartz. Oh wait, here's one:
Chanel had a lip stain called Rose Quartz that was my absolute favorite. I wore it for years and always try to color match it to others since they seem to no longer carry it. (their Light Rose 40 shade is very similar).
I've been a longtime fan of this pinky hue. Maybe it's my love for my favorite flower, a pale pink peony.
When Lee was deployed I shopped a lot. I must have gone a little nuts because I bought the remaining stock of a pretty blue velvet at a local fabric store. I still haven't a clue what I want to do with it but I bought approximately 5 yards of it because I was smitten over the color. It looks like this pretty sofa (and serenity inspiration):
I love this color so much. I think it makes for the sweetest splash of "something blue" in wedding details too. Isn't this ribbon train beautiful?Actually, go checkout more pictures from THIS wedding, HERE. The details are beautiful.
I have a variety of blue and pink in my home already but I'm excited to see how the markets freshen up vignettes and closet staples with these pretty colors.
Happy Pantone Color of the Year shopping! xx
